New Moon Journal Prompts

Something tells me I’m not the only one experiencing a lot of delays right now. It’s rough when you’re doing your best, being as relaxed as you can about things you have no control over, and for some reason, answers or responses you need to move forward keep getting pushed off into the hazy future.

A new moon is a great time to deal with that in a positive way. Instead of setting goals and lists of things to do, we can set an intention for how we want to feel while we wait. And while we’re at it, we can visualize the blockages opening up and make wishes about how we want it all to turn out.

So tonight, I’m going to offer a different kind of journal entry.

I’ve anointed and lit three candles tonight with the intention of helping the circle with whatever is getting in our way:

ORANGE to ignite the sacral chakra, empowering your financial, creative, and sexual lives
YELLOW to strengthen the solar plexus, reinforcing the seat of your confidence, personal power, and self respect
GREEN to open and expand the heart chakra, governing your ability to give and receive love

If you’re having some discomfort right now in one of these areas, write about it in the positive–we don’t want to labor on negative feelings while making wishes.

1) What is the thing you’re waiting for? Example: a job offer, a reply to a submission
2) What is the result that you really want? Write that down in as much detail that you can.
3) How will it feel to have that result?
4) Close your eyes and imagine an actual path opening up in front of you, leading to the result you want. Picture any obstacles in your way being cleared off the path. Any breaks in the road being bridged. Picture yourself having exactly what you need to get to it.
5) Tomorrow, set an intention to see/notice the color of the chakra you wrote about tomorrow as a sign that your wish is on it’s way. Or wear that color if you like to hold the intention through the day.

You can do the journaling any time tonight or tomorrow.

Warmly,
Celeste
